MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — WCCO 4 News likes to end each week meeting a pet in need of a great home.
Carrie Libera from the Animal Humane Society dropped in with Roxy. Libera said, “She’s an 8-year-old Chihuahua mix dog. She may be heading to her senior years but she’s as playful as ever. Loves a good game of fetch and keep-away.
“Roxy participating in our Possessive Pooches program which is special training for dogs who exhibit resource guarding behaviors such as growling when someone comes near their food. Our trainers have worked with her and will give special instructions to her new family on how to manage it. We have had many successful placements of animals through this program – they are great dogs, they just want to eat alone.”
